Artist Statement

I am a multi-disciplinary sculpture artist and furniture maker working in Los Angeles. I am informed by traditional forms and approaches to object making. The goal of my sculpture work is to create novel material moments by interweaving traditional skills with mycelium cultivation, combining old and new meanings. The focus of my furniture work is to meet individual functional needs with a sensitivity to materiality and production; utilizing techniques and materials that are accessible.
